As of July 1, 2025, all coaches, both head and assistant, are required to complete Mandatory Reporter Training ANNUALLY.  This training is mandated by law to ensure coaches are equipped to recognize and report suspected child abuse and neglect.  

• Mandatory for all coaches: Both head and assistant coaches are required to complete the training. 
• Annual requirement: The training must be completed every year
• Focus on recognizing and reporting: The training aims to educate coaches on how to identify potential child abuse and neglect, and the proper procedures for reporting it. 
• Colorado State Law: The requirement stems from Colorado State Law, specifically SB 24-113.
