General Information

The Spartan Youth Club is excited to offer Lacrosse to girls from 3rd grade through 8th grade and of all ability levels. In our second season, the number of teams and levels will depend on the number of participants that we have sign up. The girls will compete in the Colorado Girls Lacrosse Association (CGLA).

Coaches are needed, so any parent who knows the game of lacrosse (boys or girls) is encouraged to coach. We need coaches to support the growing number of teams.

The required equipment should include: Girls lacrosse Stick, eye guard, mouthpiece and cleats. Please ensure it is a Girls Stick and not a Boys stick (they are quite different).

Uniforms will be purchased through the Spartan Store. Your coach will notify you when uniforms become available. We are looking forward to growing the Spartans girl’s lacrosse program, so please encourage friends to join. Lacrosse is a great game and we will have a great time!!!

REGISTRATION

The registration fee for girls is $110. The registration fee includes membership in US Lacrosse. To guarantee you a place in the program, all registrations must be received by the Spartans no later than December 31st. Registrations received after December 31st will be on a space available basis and will be assesses a $10 late registration fee. The registration fee does not include the uniform or equipment. We highly encourage the use of online registration but if you are more comfortable with paper, registration forms are available at the Spartans Store and may also be downloaded from this web site. Coaches will contact you in late-January after rosters have been set. If you have any questions, please feel free to email the boys or girls lacrosse coordinator through the web site.

COACHES

AS WITH ALL YOUTH SPORTS, WE RELY ON PARENTS TO VOLUNTEER THEIR TIME IN COACHING THE KIDS. IF YOU ARE INTERESTED IN COACHING BUT DON'T THINK YOU HAVE THE KNOWLEDGE, DON'T WORRY, WE WILL BE HOLDING SEVERAL CLINICS TO TEACH YOU THE BASIC THINGS THE KIDS SHOULD KNOW. THE KIDS ARE DEPENDING ON YOU TO MAKE IT POSSIBLE FOR THEM TO LEARN, COMPETE AND HAVE FUN!!!
