Welcome to the 2008 season of Spartan Cheerleading!

We are happy to once again invite all new and returning girls 5 years and older to be a part of the 2008 Spartan Cheer program. We have a recreational squad and a competitive squad who will perform at home Spartan football games as well as at various different events. We have tried to answer most questions below, however if you do not see an answer to your question here, please feel free to email us at cheerleading@spartanyouthclub.com
Spartan Cheerleading
My daughter cheered last year and her uniform still fits, do I have to register her again?
As with all sports it is necessary that you register your child each year to be a part of our program. Children not registered will be asked not to cheer with the Spartan squad. The registration for the Recreational squad is $60.00. The competitive Elite squad is $90.00 this does not include uniform.
What if I want my daughter to cheer for my son’s team?
With over 40 teams in the Spartan league we are unable to form a squad exclusively for your son's team. We will be forming two home field (Mission Viejo Park) cheer squads by age group 5-9 years old and 10-14 years old led by two coaches per squad. We ask that you give us your son's schedule at the beginning of the season so we can try to make arrangments to cheer for his team when he has a home game.
What, besides the registration cost, should I expect to pay for a new cheerleader?
The uniforms will remain the same as last year. We do have two different uniform tops (shells) one for the Recreation uniform and one for the Elite. The rest of the uniform is the same.
Mandatory Uniform Package for Elite Cheerleaders: $165.95 includes shell, skirt, boy briefs, mock, socks, hair bow, bag and poms. (does not include shoes, all white cheer shoes are required for competitions)
Mandatory Uniform Package for Rec Cheerleader: $75.90 includes shell, skirt, boy briefs and mock.Optional Items:Cheer Bag $9.95 (Rec squad)
Spartan Rec. Accessory Package: includes poms, socks and hair bow $29.95 (Rec Squad)
Warm up (Jacket and pants) $69.95
When and how do we get our uniform?
The cheer board will set a fitting date at the Spartan Store in June. Girls will be fitted and uniform must be paid for before the order will be placed. Uniforms will not be sold by the store as you must be a registered cheerleader to purchase the uniform. Every year we ask the cheerleaders who are not coming back to contact us at cheerleading@spartanyouthclub.com to sell their “ good shape” used uniform at a great price available to new cheerleaders, or if you’d like to donate. Please email us if you are interested in purchasing a used uniform.
What if we want the competition experience on the Elite squad but cannot afford the fees?
Our cheer board is working on various fund-raisers to help offset the cost of this year’s program, sign up early to start fundraising early with us! We will do a fundraiser as one squad both Rec and Elite squads primarily to help offset costs for uniforms. Elite will have an additional fundraiser for gym fees, competition fees, snacks and drinks for competitions.
Should I put my daughter on the Elite or Recreational squad?
The time commitment and cost will differ greatly from recreational to Elite, our coaches will require the competitive cheerleaders to attend practices and know their routine before performing with the squad. Read more about Spartans Elite below.
Spartan Elite Cheer Program
Our vision for the Spartan Elite Program is to offer a competitve cheer program within our recreational program at a affordable price. As a Spartan Elite Cheerleader your child will have all the fun of a recreational cheerleader but will go a step further and enter the world of competitive cheerleading, competing at local competitions under the NCA Intermediate B Recreational Division.
Spartan Youth Club has teamed up with Cherry Creek Elite Cheer Studio to offer professional instruction on cheer and tumbling once per week. Our team will be beginning with the basics in tumbling and formations while also being taught a choreographed routine that the team will perform at various events and competitions. No previous cheer experience required, however this program demands that the cheerleader be dedicated and committed to it's squad, we are as strong as our weakest link. Elite practices and events are mandatory! Our goal is to offer a fun and unforgettable experience for your child as they learn a strong cheer foundation while bonding and working hard as a important part of the Spartan Elite Cheerleading Squad!
Completed applications can be mailed to: Spartan Cheerleading, P.O. Box 460891, Aurora, CO 80046. Please include the signed registration form and a check for the registration fee amount.
Additionally, you can register at the Spartan Store on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays or by dropping through mail slot in door.
